That green film creeping up the shady side of your house is algae, and around here, with all our trees and damp springs, every home gets it eventually. Blasting it with high pressure forces water behind the siding and strips paint. So we don't.
We soft wash: a gentle detergent solution that kills the growth, then a low-pressure rinse that carries it off. Vinyl, cedar, stucco, painted wood — the finish stays put, and the siding stays clean far longer because the organism is dead, not just knocked off.

Soft-wash method
Detergent does the work, low pressure does the rinse. Safe for vinyl, cedar, stucco, and paint.

Landscaping gets pre-soaked and rinsed; light fixtures and outlets get covered.

What's the difference between soft washing and pressure washing?
Pressure washing uses force; soft washing uses chemistry. On siding, force is the enemy. It drives water behind panels and etches wood. Soft washing kills algae and mildew with a detergent, then rinses at roughly garden-hose pressure. We pressure wash concrete and soft wash houses.
Is house washing safe for my plants?
Yes. We soak your landscaping with fresh water before, during, and after, which dilutes any detergent that drifts. It's the same care I'd take at my own mom's house.
How long does a house wash last?
Usually two to three years before the green starts creeping back, since soft washing kills the growth at the root instead of shaving the surface. Shaded north walls may want a touch-up sooner.
